Our Story

Nicola’s Ristorante has been a family tradition since 1990. Founded by Nicola and carried forward alongside his son, our restaurant brings the traditional recipes of Bari to North Jersey with warm, white-tablecloth service. After years in West Paterson and Hawthorne, we found our home in Totowa in 2009. Today, we continue to welcome every guest like family, serving the classic dishes and elevated specials that have made us a local favorite for over three decades.

Private Events

Celebrate life’s biggest moments at one of Totowa’s most versatile private event venues. With two private dining rooms for approximately 60 and 100 guests, and nearly 200 seats throughout the restaurant, Nicola’s hosts christenings, communions, rehearsal dinners, corporate luncheons, intimate weddings, and more. Our experienced team manages every detail, from menu planning to seamless service, so you can focus on your guests. Explore our private dining rooms and start planning your next unforgettable celebration today.

Happy Customers

A great find for very tasty and plentiful Italian food, So many options to choose from, and you will be very satisfied. The portions for the price will keep you well-fed. There is nice elegance to Nicola's and you feel special when eating there.

Best branzino I have ever had in 50 years. As a Greek I am very picky when it comes to fish. I had the whole fish. Not fillet. Amazing freshness and superb taste. Everything else that my friends had also delicious. Will go back for sure.

I cannot say enough about how great a birthday party I had for a close friend at Nicola's. Samantha, who handles larger groups assisted in the planning. She was wonderful, patient, helpful and very efficient. The food was amazing along with the outstanding service. Definitely a fantastic place to host an event, the added plus is its a BYOB.
